Texas Dancehall Music From Austin, TX

An Austin-born songwriter whose compositions often recall the glory days of barroom honky tonk, when the 4/4 shuffle was king, Jason's music is the real deal. The band's original tunes fit right in with the core of its classic set lists, featuring songs that have kept Texas dancers out on the floor for generations.

With the Stepsiders, Jason has had the opportunity to take his music all over Texas, and even overseas. Songs from band's debut CD, With Friends Like These have been played extensively on independent radio stations across the U.S., throughout Europe, and as far away as Australia and Japan. In addition to regularly playing live at clubs and dancehalls throughout Texas since 2004, Jason has also performed at large music festivals in France and Norway.

After years of happily striving to keep the sound of authentic country music alive and well, Jason and the Stepsiders show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. A second full-length album entitled Crazy Things was released in 2011, featuring several brand new songs as well as a few favored classics.
